More than 230,000 LEAFs have been sold since it was introduced in 2010, making it the most popular electric car in the world. Renault is also the best-selling EV brand in Europe and recently delivered its 100,000th electric vehicle to a customer in Norway in person.
The Renault-Nissan partnership is the only auto group in the world that sells a wide range of electric vehicles, including the LEAF and several others like the e-NV200, a commercial vehicle that is mostly used in Europe and Japan. Renault sells four EVs of its own: the ZOE, the Kangoo Z.E. van, the SM3 Z.E. sedan, and the Twizy, which is a two-seater used for city commutes.
Renault Nissan continues to innovate and push for better range and safety, setting its eventual dual goal as an entire lineup of cars with “zero emissions and zero fatalities.” In recent years Renault Nissan has dramatically improved the range of all its vehicles as well as developing advanced driver assist technologies.
Changing a cabin air filter is one of those things you can easily do yourself, but most people never learn how, and they either let it go or spend a lot of money having it done by a mechanic. Fall is a great time to change your cabin air filter, so follow these steps and you’ll be amazed at how easy it is!
First, locate the cabin air filter. Usually it’s behind your glove compartment, but your owner’s manual will tell you for sure. Go to a parts store and ask them about the right kind of filter for your car. Then get a couple of screwdrivers and a rag so you can wipe off the compartment where the filter goes. Once you have your parts and tools assembled, it’s time to get started.
Once you know where the air filter is, whether that’s under the hood, under the dashboard, or behind the glove compartment, open up the housing unit and take the old filter out. It may just pop out, or you might have to unscrew it.
Depending on what it looks like, you may want to keep this filter for a while longer. If it’s very gray and slimy, replace it, but if it looks relatively clean and white, you could put it back and save the new one for a few more miles down the road.
If you want to replace it, just wipe down the housing unit with your rag and pop the new air filter into place. Screw it back in if you need to and you’re done!

Finding the perfect vehicle for the entire family can be quite difficult. That is, unless you choose a Nissan vehicle. The Nissan family of vehicles has a number of different models that are perfect for your family. One of those models has recently been granted several prestigious titles for the benefits it provides to families on the road.
The Nissan Murano was selected by both groups as one of their Top 10 Family Cars of 2016.
Not only is the Nissan Murano affordable for families, but it also comes packed with a number of desirable features. For example, the Nissan Murano’s cabin is designed to cancel out excess noise from the outside, creating peaceful surroundings.
“The redesigned Murano has terrific passenger and cargo space, including comfy contoured rear seats that kids – and even Adults – will appreciate,” says Parents Editor-in-Chief Dana Points. “Plus its utter lack of cabin noise ensures that kids can nap undisturbed on long drives.”
For a vehicle that every member of the family will enjoy, be sure to check out the 2016 Nissan Murano, here in stock at our Tom Naquin dealerships.
One of the staples of summertime is relaxing on the beach alongside the ocean. Here in Elkhart, Indiana, we happen to be a little landlocked for that. Although we can’t enjoy a day swimming in the ocean, there are several lakes in the area surrounding Elkhart. Additionally, Elkhart is only a few hours away from Lake Michigan. With that in mind, consider spending part of your summer participating in these 3 fun activities at the lake.
The most obvious thing to do at the lake would be to swim. Although many lakes might unfortunately be a tad bit dirty to swim in, most of the lakes near Elkhart are clear as crystal, inviting you to dive right in!
If you have the proper license and have found the proper location, then a day out on a boat fishing can be quite the relaxing activity. Although fishing is a skill that requires a good deal of patience, the reward of a caught fish makes the whole thing worth it!
Boats aren’t just used to help you fish out on the lake. You can use a variety of boats for a variety of activities. For example, kayaks and canoes can test your endurance, while a jet ski can make a day out on the lake all that much more exciting!
A whopping three major milestones will be celebrated that day: the 100th running of the Indy 500, the 50th anniversary of the Chevy Camaro, and Penske’s 50th year as a team owner.
Penske, who was almost a professional driver himself in his younger days, has won 16 Indy 500s over the last half century, more than any other team. When he takes the Camaro SS 50th Anniversary Edition to the track, it’ll be the ninth time the Camaro serves as pace car at the Indy 500 and the 27th time for Chevrolet. The first time it occurred was in 1967 when an RS/SS convertible led the race; the last time was a Z/28 coupe just two years ago.
“Chevrolet and Roger Penske are inextricably linked to the heritage of the Indianapolis 500,” said J. Douglas Boles, president of Indianapolis Motor Speedway. “When he leads the pack on May 29, behind the wheel of the Camaro SS, he will drive the race into its next 100 years and strengthen the bond Chevrolet and Indianapolis forged a century ago.”
Only four examples of the Camaro SS 50th Anniversary Edition are being built, so it’s unlikely we’ll ever see a copy in our showrooms, but you can still find the car it is based on at Tom Naquin!
The 2017 Cadillac XT5 crossover has been named by WardsAuto to the 2016 Wards 10Best Interiors list, proving once more that when it comes to car interiors, few automakers can deliver quality and luxury like Cadillac.
WardsAuto’s Tom Murphy complimented its “first-rate materials,” including satin-finish Rosewood trim, supple semi-Aniline Maple Sugar leather, velvety microsuede headliner, and rich metallic brightwork.
The awards were selected by eight WardsAuto editors after they spent February and March evaluating the interiors of 47 all-new or significantly redesigned vehicles.
“Other features are impressive as well, such as the rear camera mirror, seamless connectivity of the Cadillac User Experience, bright head-up display, Ultraview panoramic sunroof and generally flawless fit-and-finish,” said Murphy.
He also pointed out that the XT5 manages to remain comfortable and ergonomic despite these numerous technology features.
The XT5 replaced the outgoing SRX and is already one of our most popular models at Tom Naquin. Come check it out today to see why WardsAuto thinks so highly of its interior for yourself!
